Days of Summer

Well, it's finally happened. We had shorts weather! So we spent the day outside. Scott and I both got some yard work done. But that was after the highlight of our day. Late morning some dads and a student from Trinity showed up with a trailer and Luke got his very own playset...check this out!

Luke was helping Dad pick up sticks.

The men pieceing the set together. They only had to take down one part of our fence to get it through.

Swinging, swinging....

Hanging out in the fort....

The set....John built it for his sons when they were younger and now, Luke will get a lot of use out of it! Thanks a bunch!

The family.

For those of you who don't know them...this is Steve, Kim, and Claire.

Scott and Steve lived together at CUW.

And Scott and I have already let our little Goddaughter down...we can't remember weight, height, or time. As soon as I have that information I'll let you know.

This one's for Bama

I'd like to start by apologizing that this has Tweety, I know it's random but it was the only way I could get the prayer on here. Anyway, I read it and immediately thought of my fellow chocolate addict...enjoy!

Sorry, no washable markers at our house!

Luke spent Spring Break hanging out with teenage girls. Aunt Kendra and Aunt Lydia made Mommy's life easier by babysitting while I cleaned my office and the Children's Ministries storage area. Many of you are saying to yourself, what's the big deal, but if you've ever seen my office or any Children's Ministry storage you would understand why it takes a week to clean and how awesome it was to clean it without watching an 8 month old.

The bee antenna that I found while cleaning boxes I'd never seen before.

We always knew they'd join the circus!

Grandpa and Luke watching the fish at Bass Pro.

It's kind of hard to see but it's Luke's reflection, I just love the look he's giving those fish.

He kept his eyes glued on the tank and would start oh-ing every time a fish swam by.

Thanks again, Girls!

Happy Easter!

I stole this picture off Erin's blog, but really, what better way to start my Easter post.

We had a great Easter weekend in St. Charles. Luke got to see a lot of Grandma, Grandpa, Cousin Cole, Cousin Sam, Aunts, and Uncles! We went over to Great Grandma's for an egg hunt. Luke loved watching all the kids collect their eggs. He managed to sleep through the Sunrise service, which is what most of us wanted to do. And he got to eat scrambled eggs with the rest of us during Easter breakfast at Grandma and Grandpa's. It was a long drive home without Scott and we wish we could've stayed longer.

Grandpa and his boys.

Any more eggs in there?

Great Grandma and Baby Sam

Uncle Matt and the boys eating some puffs and watching baseball.

Our family picture...Luke was too busy watching Maggie, the dog, to look at the camera.

The traditional sit with your Easter basket picture.
He's already holding the PraiseBaby CD that was in the basket.

I Can Do It Myself

In an effort to eat as a family we tried feeding Luke his avacados as we ate dinner. Scott may have misjudged Luke's reach because as we both turned to see why Luke was being so quiet we saw him helping himself to dinner.
He's still working on that spoon thing.
The cup thing too.

Needless to say, he got a bath after dinner.

Luke's Fairy Godmother

Bear with me...we have a lot of pictures to post. I've been a little busy.

First is the title picture...Kendra, as usually, was fantastic as the fairy Godmother in Cinderella. She of course had a beautiful voice and in Janetzke fashion got the biggest laugh of the night.

Cinderella wasn't so bad either...

"Oh My GOSH, we're gonna see WICKED!"

And here's Luke showing Michelle a thing or two after Mom and Grandma got their hair cut.
