Happy Father's Day

After helping Mommy set-up for VBS on the hottest day since last August, Daddy got to spend time with his little boy and his Father's Day gifts.

I don't know, can I eat it?

A new grill!

Here, Dad, let me help you with those.
I know it's corny but I don't know what I would do without my better half. I know my ministry would be in shambles. I know my adorable kid wouldn't be as adorable, nor would he already have a great sense of humor. But mostly I know that Luke and I would not be near as happy without the wonderful blessing that Scott is for our lives. We love you!

Long awaited...

Here are some random shots of Luke from last week.

Summer break just wears him out!

It will be a while till he fills Great Grandpa's chair. But he is keeping his eye on the grill.

Day Two - 173

Okay CPH, it's on!
Imagine...The kids return to closing. Everytime I used the phrase, "Jesus is God's Son" they would respond, "Tell the Truth!" which they learned at one of the sites that morning. Now, I'm not saying programming the children is "bad" but if we're going to program them...how about we use something they can witness with. When I asked the kids,

"If someone asks what this means you should say...."
They responded...uhhh...
I said, "say, JESUS IS GOD'S SON"
To which they responded..."Tell the TRUTH!"
Now, the first FIVE times it was funny...but then I had to stop them and explain that they should say...."Jesus is God's Son." and not witness by saying "tell the Truth!"
To which they stared at me blankly...
seriously CPH, do you want honest kids? or do you want kids who can witness that...
JESUS IS GOD'S SON!
HIRE SOME PEOPLE WHO WORK WITH CHILDREN!!!!!!!!!!!
End of ranting...cute pictures of Luke soon, I promise.

First Haircut

Luke went for his very first haircut on Saturday morning. We went to the place where Grandma gets her hair done and Michelle was SO excited to cut Luke's hair. He didn't cry or scream and sat pretty still until she started the buzzer. He looks like such a little man now. The next time he gets it cut I'll be buzzing it off.

Before

Are we sure she's a trained professional?

It's fine! I like it long on the sides!

This stuff used to be on my head?

After

And the bath to get that itchy hair off his neck.

I don't know if I've mentioned that our kid is quite a clown.

I just don't know where he gets it from?

Daddy's Mini-Me

Step into my office.

Living Word Class of 2007

As part of that class, Kendra walked down the middle aisle of the gym for her GRADUATION! It was a very nice service. And we are so very proud of Kendra. She'll be heading to school for Early Childhood. We spent the rest of the evening visiting with family and enjoying Sara Grace's wild story. We are looking forward to helping Kendra celebrate more in July at her open house. CONGRATS KENDRA!

Luke paid very close attention to the ceremony.
